Soooooo , it’s been awhile since my last post. And I know I keep saying I’m going to do better but this time I really mean it …. Really I do.
This weekend was the AfroPunk Fest in Brooklyn, NY and Hubby and I attended with one of his best friends. It was amazing, I had so much fun. The culture, the style, the music was so …… Ahhhhh it was everything ! If I had to give my own description on the type of music performed there I would say alternative hiphop and punk rap within the black community. I think everything within that culture is so dope. Majority of the women/girls there were fellow naturalistas. It was just beautiful to see so many people accepting and expressing there own individuality. Take a look at my day …..
The amazing Jean Grae performing
Lobster Roll I had from one of the food trucks. Man it was good !
The eccentric gender bending Mykki Blanco
